Ameziel is seeking an experienced design/market research contractor to join our growing California team and support our expanding product assortment through market research to learn the online customers’s purchasing habit and the market trend, as well as drive continuous improvement with our existing portfolio.The ideal candidate is experienced in market research, demographic research, design and business strategy.
You are passionate about marketing and furniture development, skilled in building cross-functional partnerships, thrive in driving change and evolving processes.
You will work collaboratively with a team of product designers, in-house sales, and manufacturers currently based in Ontario, California and China.
-Collecting data (such as surveys, focus groups, questionnaires, opinion polls, qualitative and quantitative research) on consumers, competitors and market place, then consolidating information into actionable items, reports and presentations.
-Understanding business objectives and designing surveys to discover prospective customers' preferences.
-Suggesting product development direction that balances consumer needs, market trend within cost constraints and manufacturing processes.
-Interpreting the research data, organizing this information into statistical tables, image boards, and reports by Adobe CC or other relevant digital tools.
-Participates in new product development and product improvements, design critiques among global teams.
-Working independently and collaboratively to generate new product ideas and carry them through to production.
-Deliver projects on time!
-At least one year market researching working experience.
-Bachelor's in product design or management, marketing, business or equivalent work experience.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively drive change.
-Strong organizational and analytical skills.
-Awareness of market demand, styles and trends, able to communicate with the team.
-Good sense of infographic style to hold the audience's attention during research presentation.
-Proficiency with Adobe CC and other researching tools.
-Flexible, adaptable, able to work in a changing and evolving environment with ambiguity.
-Ability of working independently and collaboratively with team members in States and China.
-An open mind and willingness to work across cultures and countries.
-Excellent time management, ability to work responsibly at home and in office.
Nice to have
-Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
-Experience working with globally based manufacturers is a plus.
-Having experience at a furniture company is a plus.
-Basic knowledge of furniture making process; wood and steel manufacturing and assembly is a plus.
